Brilliant red winter twigs and branches. This tree will thrive in any garden, from the chilly areas in zone 5 to the warm winters of zone 9. So if you love Japanese maples, but have had trouble growing them well, then the Pacific Fire Vine Maple is the tree to grow – just as beautiful, but less effort. But this tree is much easier to grow, and much more resistant to summer dryness. The beautiful leaves are rounded, but divided into many deep lobes, resembling its relatives the Japanese maples. It grows into a small tree perhaps 10 feet tall and 6 feet wide, and the twigs and branches are colored brilliant red – the brightest twigs of all of the red-twigged winter plants. The Pacific Fire Vine Maple is a spectacular red-twigged dwarf tree that glows all winter, bringing brilliance and light into your garden during the quietest time of year. You'll find we carry young 1-gallons, up to more mature 7-gallons ranging anywhere from 6 inches to 6ft. While the industry-standard terminology is to call the sizes "Gallon Containers", that doesn't exactly translate to the traditional liquid "gallon" size we think of. Nursery containers come in a variety of different sizes, and old-school nursery slang has stuck. All tree, and nothin' but the tree! We measure from the top of the soil to the top of the tree the height of the container or the root system is never included in our measurements.
